Solid machined polished unlacquered brass base, hand-stitched cream goatskin parchment shade, and hand-dyed braided cotton cord.
All material finishes are living finishes: they will change and patina for the better with time and use. Every product is individually hand assembled; slight variations in color, size and shape are to be expected.

Adam Otlewski
Adam Otlewski is an artist, designer and maker based in New York City. He believes the decorative arts have an important place in culture, and believes in expression through the objects we surround ourselves with. Heavily inspired by museum collections and the history of construction, he considers the place and progression of the things that are created today.
He studied Industrial Design at the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning, and has worked in the fields of housewares design, residential and commercial interiors, and custom furniture fabrication since 2004.
He is currently building upon his vision for his studio and workshop, creating lighting and objects while constantly training with new techniques and materials. The primary focus of his current work is leatherwork and brass.
